Biggest Loser Asia finally weighed in its loser last night and David Gurnani of Jakarta, Indonesia tipped the scale to become the first Biggest Loser of Asia! The 25-year-old shed a total of 83kg, beating three other finalists to the grand prize of US$100,000 and a brand new Renault car.

David says, "I never thought that I would say this, but it feels great to be a loser. Asia's Biggest Loser!" After a 13-week in-camp contest, the top four went home for two months to continue losing weight on their own. As soon as David returned home, he trained from eight to ten hours a day and watched his diet. So how's he going to spend his money, you ask?? "I'm thinking of buying a house with the money, because I'm planning to get married by the end of this year. I also want to go for a short holiday before getting back to my normal life."

David's tranformation:

The other three finalists did pretty well too. First runner up, Filipino chef Carlo Miguel, weighed in at 83kg. He shed a total of 49kg from his initial weight of 132kg. "It wasn't easy but I got it done," Carlo said.

Carlo's tranformation:

Our very own Aaron Mokhtar came in third. At the start of the season, Aaron was 159kg but he worked his way to lose a total of 60kg. Now weighing at 99kg, Aaron's happy to be home with his wife and two young daughters. Congrats, Aaron!

Aaron's tranformation:

Then there's Martha Lai, the only female and youngest contestant in the top four finalist. The 20-year-old shed a whopping 40kg from her initial weight of 127kg. "I know it's lame but exercise works!" Martha confessed.

Martha's tranformation:

David looks really terrible, hmmm, it's obviously NOT keeping to the objectives of the Biggest Loser Asia. Rubbish.

What a shocking transformation. Looks like he may have taken things to the extreme just to win the prize. Your health takes precedence, David!

Yeah, i agree with you guys. He looks sick. Perhaps he did it the 'extreme' way at home.. hence tremendous weight loss

Carlo..on the other hand.. LOOKS DAMN GOOD!!

Definitely David looks so so terrible and sick!! He should try to put on some weight now

Whoa....David's WAY too skinny and looks emancipated! Training for 8 to 10 hours is ridiculous...no one with a proper working schedule can ever keep that up! Carlos looks much better...

i absolutely agree.. There shld be a limit on the minimum weight the finalists can be.. otherwise anyone can go to extremes juz to lose weight n win the prize money.. its unhealthy..

The show should be ashamed of itself. Putting up such an amount of money has made David look ill and starved - sheer greed! And this is in a continent that has so many sick people starving to death! Disgraceful from the program. The program is sending out the wrong messages - its all about health not money!

David has gone from a strong looking guy to someone who looks sick. He looked perfect 6 weeks before the final. Carlo and Aaron are about the right weights but David needs to get back to McDonalds ASAP

David's face doesn't seem a healthy face. He is just like coming back from a prolong illness. Why David...

David looks terrible, unhealthy and so frail.. Dave Nuku's face said it all..He was dissapointed, he should be... Its a total disaster. I wish David will gained some more weight and be healthy

If that is what you look like with training (David) then I wont go to the gym again!! That is either starving himself to win the money or somehow getting food poison first....Carlo, Kevin, Hazif, Tony and Garry were the only real winners.

Carlo is the people's champ! When he went for a high 5 with David at the end I was worried Davids arm would break off as he looks so frail...very terrible finish to a good show.

Rossi - i agree with you that David looks pretty bad (i think he needs a feeding tube), but to blame the show only is to absolve the contestant of all responsibility.

sure, the trainers could've stepped in to say "look, this is extreme, mate," but at the same time, no one put a gun to his head to make him lose that much weight either. i'm just sayin'

My god, we are all terribly concern that the show we thought could be one of the most motivational show turn out to be of 'Heath concern". The producers show reexamine the parameters and criteria . David stature and posture are glaringly of concern.

David looks anorexic and druggie, I suppose... totally not good looking. As for Carlos, have always liked him - he has the right attitude and now good looking as well :) As for Martha, I am pleased to seeing looking HOT & SEXY - good for you, girl!! Aaron looks good & can afford to shed a few more kilos BUT please don't look like David - not too sure whether can still call him "King" as he looks like an African starved kid to me....

Look at David's eyes and the way they pop out of their sockets, he also seems to have suffered some hair lost. It makes me wonder if he starved himself instead of putting himself on a healthy diet + exercise program, it truly is frightening. On the other hand, our home boy looks FANTASTIC! Amazing transformation and he looks very healthy!! Kudos Aaron!!
