The Pekeliling Project: post-apocalyptic apartment photos by Joshua Chay + CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
A long while ago -- a whole month ago -- we asked you, dear readers, to submit your photos and stories about the soon-to-be-vanished Pekeliling flats. We were banking on the fact that, aside from being avid KLue readers, you people are rabid shutterbugs.
(We are still accepting submissions, by the way. Email your stuff -- both images and text -- to pictures@freeform.com.my. Remember to include the phrase "REMEMBERING PEKELILING" in the email subject!)
Meanwhile, we commissioned photographs of our own -- and, finally, they're here! We're styling photographer Joshua Chay as an "up-and-coming visual maven", and when you see his pictures of the Pekeliling flats (the 2nd high-rise project of KL, etc; now abandoned) you might agree.
