Did you go to the "wild party at the seaside"?
Tags: opinions,02 days of freedom, nightlife | Posted on 12 May 2008 by sarahHey everyone, I'm sure it was one crazy weekend for most of us. I heard half of KL were in Port Dickson over Friday and Saturday to watch DJs like Cosmic Gate, Tiesto and Ferry Corsten spin at 02 Days of Freedom.
For those who were there, I'm interested to find out what your thoughts of the party. I wasn't there personally (was in Langkawi for a sailing adventure, thanks to Apxara) but a friend told me that the turn out was great, and security was tight - he said he even had to take off his shoes so that Security could check that no illegal substances were brought in. And they checked inside his wallet too.
But according to this report by The Star, the party was so gila wild with teenagers everywhere, dressed in skimpy clothing while techno music blasted until the early morn. Hedonism everywhere. Etc. My opinion is that a mountain is being made out of a molehill here but then again, what do I know right since I wasn't there. But if you were -- leave a comment! Tell KLue your opinions about the party, and also about the report.

The security was indeed tight. But if there were any drug abusers, they might of consumed it before coming into the event which gave the impression to onlookers as though they consumed it inside. The event ended at 3am but lots were still hanging around till 5am and drunks sleeping by the roadside which left a negative impression to the neighbourhood.
I was there during the weekend, and i must say that it was awesome. From my sight, everybody was just enjoying the music, dance and have fun. I wasn't so sure about the drugs that they're talking about, but at my area, none of the mentioned above are true. Yes, it's true that we have beers, but that's it. If some girls wore bikini, I think it's normal and acceptable, the weather was really really hot and it's a rave party anyway, so what do you expect. The security was very tight and when the party ended, everybody went back in peace. So i guess, the star's source is not really reliable.
Probably coming from an older point of view, it might have seemed crazy- seeing teenagers in bikinis, shirts off, the easy availability of alcohol, and yes, even I could see that a lot of people weren't exactly in the right state of mind judging from the way they walked, talked, and acted- and it surely wasn't alcohol induced.
But from a person who was there at that time- the music was awesome, the crowd was great, there were short queqes at the beverage/food stations, and security was pretty tight but a lot of people got through. I wasn't one of the lucky ones and my hairbrush got taken as it was apparently a 'weapon' and my ciggarettes were sniffed (probably checking for marijuana) but a few people got off scot free, so I guess the security checks wasn't exactly 100% effective.
My only complain was that after the event, the traffic jams were horrendous but I think the Police did an amazing job of controlling traffic!
the reporter was prolly some old auntie/uncle who was forced to do the assignment for the news desk.
he/she prolly dressed in my old tuition teacher's hand-me-downs and sulked in the corner of the party, shaking his/her head and tsk-ing at "teenagers and the youth today".
The event was great.. i was there for both the nights.. I m disappointed on how the reporters view this event as being wild and crazy just because a handful of rascal misbehave! Why don't they report it as a whole?! they are like at least 15,000 people there and probably only a 100 or max 500 of them misbehave.. thats like what? 3% of those that attended the rave?!
i was trippin on mushrooms, X, K, E, 5s, ice, weed, hash cupcakes, viagra, lsd, lsa, isa, and a couple of bananas....
who was the DJ again?
I have to give my hats off to the management this time..Well facilitated toilets, good crowd control and awesome laser display/stage design..BUT as usual, being a locally organized event u have to hand it to the press..as i have remembered every huge rave turned out to be a disaster (according to u know who)..is it wrong for the youths of today to have some FREEDOM they deserve? and im not referring to drugs or excessive alcohol here..its a chance for people to let loose from the stress of LIFE...we hope to see a better Malaysia..in mind and soul..n i dont mind girls in Bikini?! Whats so wrong about that? Some guys just couldn't take the temptation? Shame on u!!..
I think most of us agree that it really depends on the reviewer & his/her sources. I wouldn't say it's a matter of age - there were the young-at-heart-senior-adults crowd as well, which enjoyed it just as much.
Anyway, the youth aren't gonna become junkies/terrorists/sampah masyarakat/skanky just because they went for a rave. They probably were already like that from the start. If it's really going to be a seen as a mega influence, why not look into the sources as to why people become like this - rather than where they hang out.
Anyways, it's good for tourism.
The event was fantabulous. well organised. i've never experienced such an organised event of this nature and scale. Security was tight. in fact there were cops everywhere and even undercover cops....
The international artiste was fantastic. The multi coloured laser lights were great. i have never experienced anything like that before. it was a two room concept. there was a cold dome, a lounge area, the food....did i mention they had TGIF and Dominoes???
Can't believe they said teenagers, when the event is 18 and above. hello, go to any club in Malaysia, you see the same thing....so i don't think its "the event" that promotes such behaviour.
I saw so many foreigners....i thought that was good to see....
i didn't see any fights, plus bags, shoes, everything was checked....if someone wants to indulge in such behaviour, no one can stop them....perhaps they should question their parents. If this type of events happens once or twice a year, then what are these people up to for the balance 360 days ???
Ahh.....30 or 41 caught?? If true, thats 0.0015% of 20,000 people....hello Malaysia???
I think this event is great for us, for tourism and for whichever state the event is held in. Freedom??? Where's ours?
What else can I say... simply brilliant. Fantastic show, fantastic crowd. No unruly behaviour. I looked around and everyone was just having fun. Truly a night to remember.
Read the papers. Someone mentioned 'Culture Shock'. Where have they been all these time. Its the 21st century. Evolve or dissolve I say.
Well if you go out on a weekend at any of the drinking holes you'd probably find the same thing. The party was awesome!! It has brought Malaysia to whole new experience level in terms of dance music. Security was tight I must agree but dang..that sure as hell made my life a whole lot easier. Not much hassle, no brawls, and me and my mates had a great time.
So are "they" saying that we gotta party like with our suites and ties on? come on brader..gua mau party like a rockstar bro...I can vote and determine who runs the goverment but I cant party like how I want too? It's my party and I'll dance if I want to...after all I payed with my money so gua mau gembira macam gua mau la...
Oh..by the way when's the next one aaa..? Can't wait...so Rock on Malaysia!!!..and keep on Rockin'!!...'nough said!!
thank god we still have FREEDOM of opinion.. right here at least!
the 2-day freedom festival was surprisingly well organised (except for the EXTREMELY SLOWWW entry on sat night, but i guess dat was cos security was bz checking ppl's shoes for heroin & sniffing fags for weed ;-p), the music was excellent, visuals were fab, drinks + food aplenty... all in all, it was a very very successful event. ppl should be proud that we were capable of organising an event of international standards... and not judge the entire event based on a few hiccups like drunkards, druggies & exhibitionists (whom you will spot at err, certain KL nightspots every weekend).
nonsensela these reporters. evidently they have not been to koh phangan's infamous full moon parties (now, THAT's WILD.. grrrowwll)....
Well, the utter rubbish report from The Star just goes to show how backward we are as a country. Just have a look at Singapore, every year they successfully hold beachside festivals at Sentosa beach. With a great roster of international acts. Yes, this is Singapore, the supposedly super strict country!
I mean, the comments from Mr. Ravi is just ludicrous. Why was he shocked to see people dressed scantily? It's a beachside festival for goodness sake! I wonder if he came to the event with his tux?!
As for the alcohol, we're all mature enough to know how to control ourselves. Besides, everyone at the event was above the legal age to be able to consume alcohol. If alcohol's such a concern, why don't you ban alcohol in our country?
I was at the event and i must say that i was really impressed. It's probably the best ever event that i've been to in Malaysia. The acts, music, crowd, visual arts, pyros, f&b... it was definitely well organised. Security at the event was tight indeed. At the entrance, people we're checked from top to bottom. Some even had to take their pants off! And certain people were also refused entry. They're probably the ones loitering outside and misbehaving themselves.
Mr. Ravi should concentrate on improving the education system, family values and other issues in this country, rather than picking on this little event. Look at the bigger picture.
Well, i'm really wasting my time trying to make sense of Mr. Ravi's comments. But let me say well done to the local authorities and organisers for making this event a reality. And the Police for keeping peace and trying their best to control the traffic. This was a closed event in a secluded area, how would it have bothered the locals. Let's all move forward from here and not backwards.
Mr. Ravi, next time you decide to voice your comments, go easy on the alcohol! Everything in moderation my friend. Read more books and watch more TV my friend, maybe even go on a holiday to Istanbul, Berlin, Amsterdam or Thailand. Just don't be toooo shocked ok?
Eh Mr. Ravi, Air Asia's got cheap flights to Singapore. Go holiday! Discover the world my friend!
Honestly, i haven't had that much fun for ages! It's the people you meet there that make it mega happening :) There were rumours in the air that RELA was gonna make a huge deal out of how you shouldn't be wearing skimpy clothes & stuff but when it came to the core, they were just chilling outside banging balls. For me, Friday was off the hook! The only thing that made it potong stim was when they confisticated all our gula-gula, chewing gum, lollies & what not - why? Don't look at me! It's not like you can plant an E in the middle of a wrapped up packet of Clorets right? The weird thing is, the next day they let us bring the gula-gula & all in - so screwed up in a way. Another sad thing was that before we went in around 9ish, there was already a Black Maria full of people who the cops just locked up randomly. The thing is there were people practically laying down/sleeping/whatever nonsense on the sidewalk & stuff - asking for it la actually, if you ask me. Later in the night too, some friends witnessed stretchers of people being carried away by the teens. A lot of accidents were also happening on the roads; a couple of my friends were one of them :( The moral of the story is if you really wanna have a good time, just know your limits & be extra cautious. Overall though, I'd give the Freedom weekend a 8 and a half over 10! You shoulda been there Adrian...
hellOo... ask mr. r name me ONE rave event tak ada alcohol... i think, he doesnt really understand what's rave is all abt, so we 4give him la... engkau dimaafkan.
i was there, for 2 days. i didn see any dispute or untasteful scene, only impressed by all music, the laser effect and all the nice foods... the event was so great and grand, like never b4. the event has lighten up PD town k? come on la, i've seen drankers in everywhere, why sounded so serious like as if it never happened b4! whoever choose to drink, it's their responsibility and the choice they make. they wan to lie down on the ground like that or hang around there till morning, who can stop they? they are mature enough to walk and think right or not. u think the organiser is their parent izzit? even their parent were sleeping in the lala land, so who's care... as for bikini, the gals wan to show their fat body, let them then. i saw the securityguard asked them to wear back their clothes and yes, they did. but right after, they took off again. so tell me, who's at fault again? organiser??? come on... this is MALAYSIA, malaysian should think and act and be resposible for their behaviour. as simple as abc.
whoever has miss this event, your total loss! u shouldn't, it was so GREAT! i've never attend event like and i was so impressed. agreed on the line up @ entrance & redemption area was really iritate me cos there're just too many checkpoints. but now comes to think of it, that was because the organiser have to ensure the event is as cleaned as evian mineral water. so, give them big round applause for the good job. i saw security checking at the entrance like CSI, bag, pocket, shoes, even party-goers are asked to take out their sock for checking! crazy. i even saw them checking on their own crews & vip and that shocked me completely. again, big round applause.
event like this has bring extra revenue, absolutely no doubt. name me why rave is not good? u see cars lined up from tol to tol, you see police were there to ensure the traffic are good & security, all hotels were fully booked, not to mention F&B, it was ALL packed! izzit?! and the outcome is - $$$$$$ were for the trip. pay toll, pay hotel, pay drink and makan.... etc. and this is why i called rave promote tourism! ada baca buku tak mr.r?
hey guys i missed the rave party....when was it huh?
Honestly, this was the best festival Malaysia has ever had. Every aspect of it was fantastic - DJs, two arenas playing dance, retro and hip-hop beats, activities, security, food & beverages, the option of partying comfortably in your own cabana or doing it hardcore in the circle pit, laser display, fireworks, sea breeze... i could go on and on.
Yes, parking and lining up was a bit of a hassle, but that's expected during at festivals. In fact, looking at the mass amount of people at the festival, i must say that i didn't have to line up for that long. The gates did open at 5pm! People had the option of coming early. Instead, everyone did the Malaysian thing and came late as always.
I take my hat off to the people at the door, i'm sure they got a lot of abuse and threats. I think they deserve a bit pat of their backs. Please convey my word of thanks to them.
So, well done to those who issued a permit for this festival. And a big thumbs up to the organisers and sponsors as well for making it a reality! This one's going to be hard to match. A wonderful experience that shows a country that's forward thinking.
As for the caveman Ravi, his comments are totally insignificant in the world today. Maybe he might want to consider migrating to Mongolia? I heard it's quite peaceful over there.
It is discerning for any politician to not understand what an event like this endorses, the very fact that he's upset about alcohol being sold readily and was widely available to participants who are above 18 years old is unacceptable.
It is their legal right to consume alcohol in whatever amounts they want to. If they get become pissed drunk and do something stupid like get into a brawl, then by all means, apprehend them but if all they did were to dance and have a good time, what is the problem here?
The established people, the entrenched local news media included, are dinasaurs. You guys are going to have problems understanding today's young culture. What they want to do and what you allow is way off. You r going to have problems raising kids. I was in my 30's during the Woodstock days. There was enough change even then to alert me to know what the young then enjoyed was very different from my days. We oldies have to change with the times and culture. Just keep things under control. At PD they did not do as we did but they were under control. Of course the media's objective is attention and controversy. I see nothing wrong with PD. Glad the young had fun.
I'm usually too lazy to give my feedback not knowing what the point is anyway, but after reading the article in the Star, I felt some justice needs to be done.
I attended the event for both days and honestly, I have never had such fun in a long long time. I honestly think that the article published is a clear misrepresentation of the event and activities that happen that night. Security was great (more stringent than our airport controls) and traffic was controlled extremely well by the police!
I just would like to stress that The Star or general public should not condemned 25,000 people for the actions of a minor few. This really makes me wonder about the writer covering this event as well... I can't help but wonder whether there is a political agenda behind the published article.......
All I have to say is about the complain in the newspaper was “Typical” of this country. Many people still choose to have the mentality of a “katak dibawah tempurung”. This isn't the 1st time a party was held in PD.
I have to point out that the security was indeed more strict than usual… Guards were searching people’s bodies, going through people’s wallets & even searching through cigarette boxes! I mean how much more can they do?
And the Freedom Festival is a Beach Party… All this skimpy clothing mentioned is simply bikini tops and shorts. There were over 10k people on that beach… It was a freaking sauna. What do they expect people to wear? Not to say anyone was naked…
The best party I've had in Malaysia...
I've se seen Tiesto long time ago and his performance was great as always, also Ferry Corsten and Cosmic Gate.... Very good Line Up!!!
The Trans music was there rocking the night of PD!!!!!!
The organization was perfect,,, you can eat ,drink or chill out.... great thanks to the people who where on the backsatge....
I'm really happy with it.... I had a great time!!!!!
Looking foward for the next party!!!!!
looks like the KLue nightlife messageboards are back... in new improved web2.0 form!
Yes Joon. After this we need justdancelah.com in Web 2.0!
What does Mr. Ravi propose we do about aiding tourism in the polluted beach front that is Port Dickson? What's so great about the muck-grey Straits of Malacca?
If the party didn't happen in Port Dickson, it would have happened in Kuala Lumpur, in the many Thai island or beaches that are absolutely RICH with tourism dollars. Or it would, like every other international music festival or concert, be held in Singapore.
If Negeri Sembilan and Port Dickson were to continue receiving federal funds to promote tourism, maybe they shouldn't be so tight-arsed about events that actually take place in their constituency.
The authorities didn't "close one eye" when they gave the permit to the event. They probably welcomed a hefty kick back and did nothing to ensure the event organisers remained accountable for the consequences of the event. Though luckily for the authorities, nothing devastating happened.
Do some real policing, please.
Ask the major hotels, the aunty and uncle motels, restaurants and businesses in Port Dickson if they think the authorities should curb 20,000 youths with TONS of disposable income from visiting Port Dickson.
If the promotion of alleged drug and alcohol binging and social ills is something that harangues the authorities — instead of raising a stink about it post-event — how about exercise some prevention? Create greater police and medical personnel presence then. Up the security.
As a concert-goer, I would welcome and expect greater security and safety measures.
Perpetuating a public uproar over something as vapid and baseless as this, isn't going to get anyone re-elected. This is akin to George Bush crying "BIN LADEN" and "WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION" over and over again. Bodoh giler!
We've all heard this before, it's so 1883!
I propose our MPs spend more of their taxpayer funded time on greater issues that plague our nation, instead of making guest appearances at events clearly catered to a demographic other than his.
kthnx.
I just have a few things to say...
1. Security was tight - they were rummaging thru bags/wallets. So, you can be sure they did their jobs the best they could.
2. It was a well behaved crowd...everyone was really out just to have fun. No assholes from where I was at .. oni asses... :P
3. I didn't see any fights going or any unruly behaviour. Did you see any fights going on ?
4. I'm not sure about promiscuity tho.. but everybody had their pants on at least ! And at most we all did group hugs while we posed for our cameras
4. Kudos to crowd and traffic control! One of the best organized events so far
In the words of someone I know, here's what I'd say to Mr R..... Chill Larrr Brooooo..!
- cheers -
So far, this is the first rave I've faced such tight security (am glad they didn't confiscate my inhaler as even prescribed legal drug was not permitted) and I admire the organiser's effort.
Good intention was there- to create a drug-free festival and I suppose they expected to hear good reviews on the event rather than how girls were skimpily clad, youth abusing alcohol and drugs, how loud the pumping music was.
Wake up, we are a progressing country and you can't expect us to wear tudung and songkok to a rave, can you? Bikini is made for beach and not a club. So why is it deemed inappropriate if PD is supposedly known for its beach attraction?
In order to boost tourism in PD, perhaps instead of investing energy and time in issuing press releases attacking a 2-day festival that would probably help gain international recognition with the presence of the world's widely celebrated DJ, perhaps they should seek ways to protect Mother Nature, which most tourists (and locals) are irked by the smell, murky water and polluted sea.
It would be a social calamity if youth who attended the party started to rape, steal, vandalise, murder and kidnap in the event of the festival.
Wake up, wake up. The world is progressing unless time decides to stop. One has to be broad-minded to these changes. Of course there are a handful who abused substances but at least the organiser tried to reduce these incidents by tightening the security. It is no doubt that the media is exaggerating as this is the role of mass media.
It is rather disappointing that there is no salute given to Tiesto who till today is one of the best live DJ act with his tight sound arrangement, energy, connection with the audience, amazing laser lights and visuals that complete the entire performance.
Screw the authorities and kudos to Tiesto :)
This was the first rave party I attended and I think I would be considered one of the older ones there! I thought the organizers did a really good job in creating an atmosphere that was both fun yet controlled. The security when we arrived there was very tight with police controlling traffic and the organizer's security crew doing a good job of only letting only valid people and cars through. We stayed at Admiral Cove itself and weren't allowed through until we had obtained a valid car sticker for the area, a pain for us, of course, but showed the efforts on the part of the organizers to control traffic. The entrance to the stage area was pretty tight too and I would not fault the organizers in this area. I think if a person is really adamant about bringing in illicit drugs, unless they had sniffer dogs or the like, it would be difficult to control - of course, there should be efforts to improve in this area, but bear in mind that even customs and the police struggle in this area. As for the party, I thought it was absolutely brilliant! The music was great and it was clear that everyone was having a good time. I think it great that we manage to pull in great acts like Tiesto who is acknowledged to be the best in the business. That the papers concentrated on only the more negative aspects of the event only goes to further show how lopsided journalism is in the mainstream papers. At the end of it all, as I was returning, I thought to myself that I had never seen PD so alive since I was 10 and used to visit it for its beaches (which now I never do....you can guess why) and that this was a great event to once again bring back PD's lustre from the past. But not if the naysayers in the papers have anything to do with it. We should improve things yes, but let's not kill the goose which lays the golden egg.
Who Killed Sparky?
Moongoose
So much for '2 Days of Freedom' i'd say. Security was tight on Sat but was more relaxed on Friday. Prolly becoz of the 'surprise visit' that's why they had to tighten the security to make sure every party-goers are pills free n weed free. and then waste their time chasing after peeps who took off their top.
It's a rave party, by the beach. so, should have expected to see bikinis, and shirtless party-goers.
But the DJs were great.Tiesto was amazing. Crowd was great, lightings and sound were great. Freedom Festival indeed got everyone together and relive PD town since the last party held there.
Hope they don't ban rave events in Malaysia becoz of what the paper had said about the party.
Hello Malaysia.. I can't hear you!!
in a Coma?
I think everyone has said what they wanted. So to the dimwits out to create a stir about this 'pesta liar', remember, without tourism we're left with very little really. 2 Days of Freedom gave PD tourism a boost like never before. But please, go ahead and ban these 'wild' activities if you insist. While you're at it, why not completely turn away the amount of artists who would like to come here but are given crap about how they caused Malaysians to party macam liar at their gigs. Perhaps there should be a legislative order for everyone, locals and tourists alike, to be at home in bed by 9pm. That way, we wouldn't condone alcohol, drugs and scantily clad adults, right? Wouldn't that be Malaysia at it's best?
Now, excuse me while I make necessary plans to flee the country should my beloved Malaysia turn out to live this nightmare.
What was most disappointing about the event was the news report that came a few days after - A shame since the 2 Days of Freedom was a spectacular and great event for me. It was obvious from reading the article in the paper that the reporter was actually there for one purpose - to give the event a bad name. The organizers did a super job at making sure that no contrabands or other illegal items were smuggled in. We were body checked and for those who were wearing shoes, they had to take them off just to be on the safe side.
And with regards to scantily clad youths - its an event by the beach. Simple logic would dictate that it is the norm to wear beach wear at the beach. Sadly, logic seems to be a trait that the reporter for the newspaper lack considerably.
But enough about the writer and his inability to separate reality from his narrow minded world view.
The event, as I said earlier, was spectacular. The music was awesome and the crowd happening. No rowdy people here. Just a bunch of people sharing good music by great DJs with each other. There was no incident at all. The organizers did a superb job at making sure that everything went smoothly. And Tiesto really is a master at what he does. Because he got the crowd all pumped up and begging for more.
It was a 2 day event that was a blast. I know I enjoyed it. I know alot of people enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next one!
ala just admit it u guys were so wasted to even care.. haha raves are an excuse to get wasted, right?
The Star's article is totally taking it out of proportions. I believe it was not the event's fault but rather of those who went there to enjoy themselves irresponsibly.
It was a great weekend, went there early Friday afternoon (skipped work after Friday prayers), checked in at Tiara Beach Resort which though was 5 km away felt much further due to the windy roads. Soon, we dropped by the area just to get our armbands early and do check out the area, the stalls sold some sandwiches, Domino's and some food from TGIF. Funny thing is that they only sold Heineken beer and Winston cigs, must be sponsors or something. Mental note: eat outside, buy lots of fags.
Security was very tight, both times we entered we searched more thoroughly than even boarding an aircraft, they would tip over my open cig box to check for pills, my mentos got confiscated, there goes my chance of snogging with fresh breath.
As this news got around, most people just pop pill either in advance or hide them at harder to find places within the body. Some singaporeans who joined us told us so as we politely declined the smoke up session afterwards.
The night itself was increadible, music was fantastic, the special effects was even more spectacular. It was definite 'lazer eye theraphy' we've been missing since the olden days of Fabric in London. During the transition between Ferry and Tiesto, they had some incredible lazer light dancing by robot suit doing the "Peter Crouch" and Darth Sidious dual-weilding light sabre dancing.
All in all the Star's article is true but not due to the fault of the organizers, but just of the party-goers themselves. A friend of mine told me since they only sold beer that he'd run out of money first before he'd get drunk like those shown in the article.
Can u imagine whats going to happen at Genting when they're selling 1 bottle of chivas per couple of tickets? Drinking at high altitude will definitely be a sight to see, maybe its a conspiracy to loosen your pockets at their tables. I'll tell you about it next week.
There were definitely more than 30 tho took illegal substances just a matter of the police operaion being able to take a limited number of people. 30 seem to be the case for most raids in KL clubs too
I heard the papers sound everyone was on rocks, k and h. sounds like a serial killer cocktail. if that were true, i think a lot of mutilated corpses would have been found in the aftermath.
ok, so thats a load of crap. But seriously, do these people have any inkling on what its about?
For me, this was an aptly named event. What other scenario allows you to simply BE, warts and all, without judgment?
KL life being all i can speak for, is a desert of cold manipulation and damaging ambition sprinkled with good intentions and a few oasis's of warmth.
Its not the line they fed us, but we adapt anyway. We grow colder, cliquish, wary, manipulative and tell ourselves its for our own good. We climb up on the proverbial horse and from up there, we can do no wrong. But we're just fooling ourselves and eventually we are the fools we portray.
That's why events like this are so important.
you can be your simple self again.
Oh you know, the kid inside you stopped listening to years ago. That kid.
No politics (office or otherwise), no barrier between thought, deed and word.
just Freedom. Maybe that's what they're afraid of.
It was awsome. Im still trying to re-live the momments up till today. Security was in fact tight, they did body checks, shoe checks, bag checks wallet checks, everything.
Im reaaally looking forward to the next one, from what i heard.. Armin van buuren is coming down in august?? Please oh please tell me its true :)
d party was awesome n unforgetable..
peeps who's talking bad abt d event actually are not d resident at d place where d event was held. if d party is a 'wild party',y can Majlis Perbandaran gave d organizer d permit?
revelation 3 was took place at d same place as 2 days of freedom. did u hear any bad news abt d event?
peeps who's talking bad actually didn't get PAID by d organizer. dats y they make up a bad story abt d party.
of cz there wud b alchohol.so do clubs around kL. if we go out during saturday night, we can c lots of BAD things happen along Jalan P. Ramlee. then y d GOVERNMENT didn't closed d clubs?bcz d government get lots of TAX from the clubs. if we closed all d clubs, can u imagine where our government can get money..??
i've been partying for almost 5years n dis is d first time things like dis happened.
to van der braggen, AVB will b cuming for global gathering. so do above n beyond. so, get ready party peeps!
really, that was the best n most memorable party i'd ever been, even until now i'm still remembering the mood of that rave party, tiesto really did a great job and in fact, live on many fan's dreams, i'm really dissapointed by the reviews from The Star, n yes, there are a few wasted ppls in the scene, but they do no harm to others right? plus, the theme was "2 Days of Freedom". it's not like "2 Decades of Freedom"(how i wish)
we as a youngsters, have the right to speak of freedom too, it's just the way of expressing it and enjoying the freedom is different from the so-called-more-matured-ppl (like those aunties n uncles who complained about the skimpy clothes and the loud musics)
why is it the authorities only emphasize on the negative sides instead of the positive? look, i can tell u, most that attended the party will have good things to say about the party..so here is what i suggest, the next time that this kinda party is held, aunties and uncles should participate as well, then u'll get a clearer picture of what is it all about...(don't worry, we won't despise u like u did to us)
all i can say is, i won't miss a chance to catch up the next rave party...ESPECIALLY, if it is held in Port Dickson...can't wait laa....
