It is time to wrap up year 2009! Be it celebrating with friends or family, you will definitely wanna have a great time. Here are 8 parties for you to let your hair down, and usher in the New Year with a bang!

Kuala Lumpur 2010 New Year Eve Concert (Dataran Merdeka)

What: In collaboration with Dewan Bandaray Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), Ambank group is organizing a massive New Year's eve concert with many of your favourite local artistes like Amy Search, HUJAN, Bunkface and DBKL's own orchestra, dancers and many more!  

Admission: Free

How to get there:Light Transit Railway (LRT), Masjid Jamek Station (Major LRT stations like Kelana Jaya, Bangsar, KL Sentral, Pasar Seni, Masjid Jamek, Dang Wangi, Kampung Baru, KLCC & Ampang Park will stay open until 2a.m for the New Year's Celebration)

Road Closure:From the traffic lights at Jalan Hishamudin or Jalan Raja, till the traffic lights at Jalan Raja or Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman beginning 7pm on Dec 31 until the celebration ends.

Bukit Bintang New Year's Eve Celebration (Jalan Bukit Bintang)

What:The place to be for a New Year's Countdown and a display of some cool fireworks.

Admission: Free

How to get there:Monorail, Bukit Bintang Station (All Monorail Stations are opened until 3a.m for New Year's Celebration)

Road Closure:From the traffic lights at Jalan Imbi or Jalan Sultan Ismail up to the traffic lights at Jalan Sultan Ismail or Jalan Bukit Bintang.

The Celebration, The Countdown (Pavilion KL)

What: Looking for a little fun and want some great bargains? Join in this street party at Pavilion KL's posh Connection strip. featuring line ups from local talents in Malaysia and unique performance by the St John Alumni Pipe Band. There are even exclusive New Year’s Eve menu promotions at the cafés and restaurants for party-goers!

How to get there: Monorail, Bukit Bintang Station

New Year Playground (Ministry of Sound - Euphoria)

What: Dance your shoes off with Patrick Oliver spinning throughout the night. Enjoy some really good deals on beverages as well. And while you’re at it, don’t miss out the chance to grab balloon drop prizes worth RM3,000.

Filthy Rich New Year (Mist Club)

Envie's First New Year's Eve Party (Envie)

What:Join DJ John Dave, who will be spinning some smooth tunes this New Year's eve. Other than good music, there is even a free buffet spread for you party animals to ch ew on while you count down to year 2010! Adding to that, there is the generous free flow of drinks from 9pm onwards.

Alexis Bistro International Jazz Series Presents: Charenee Wade (Alexis Bistro Ampang)

What: Celebrate the New Year with a j azzy performance by Charenee Wade. The soulful singer will be accompanied by the Faze 3 ensemble, featuring some of New York’s best -- like Shareef Clayton on trumpet, Norman Edwards on drums and Gabriel Evens on keys.

Admission: RM195++ per person (dinner and show), RM50 (show only).

Bid Adieu to 2009, Hottest New Year's Party (Mutiara Damansara Commercial Centre)

What: Be sure to bring your camera to capture wonderful lights and fireworks displays during the New Year celebration at Mutiara Damansara Commercial Centre (MDCC). Be entertained by amazing talents like Faizal Tahir, Jaclyn Victor, Meet Uncle Hussain, Diplomat of Drums and many more. Keep your eyes on stage for DJ Joey G and international model Kylie Chapman who will be hosting the party.

2010 Countdown Concert (One Utama Shopping Mall)

What: With big performers like Hong Kong's Beyond (!!!), Pop Shuvit and Joe Flizzow causing a havoc on stage, the countdown to 2010 at One Utama is going to be a blast!

What: Rock on this New Year's Eve with the amazing breakthrough DJ act that successfully fuses elements of rock, electro, punk, hip hop and classical music for sets that are unlike any other. road blocks r mainly in the heart of KL, so use public transport(LRT/Monorail/KTM) if u really wanna go there.
