UPDATE: Be one of the first to watch Yasmin Ahmad's "Muallaf"
First released in Singapore in 2008 and later travelling on the international film festival circuit, Muallaf is Yasmin Ahmad's only film yet to be shown in Malaysia. Well guess what? Muallaf will open nationwide later this month and we wanna send 20 lucky readers to watch it before anyone else!
The movie tells the story of two Malay sisters, 20-year-old Rohani (Sharifah Amani) and 14-year-old Rohana (Sharifah Aleysha), who escape their abusive father. They find refuge in a small town, where they meet Robert Ng (Brian Yap), a 30-year-old Catholic schoolteacher. Drawn to the sisters, their relationship forces Robert to confront a haunting memory of his own.
We've got 20 pairs of tickets to give away for the premiere screening that's to take place at Cineleisure Damansara on 16 December 2009 at 9.30pm. To win them, follow us on Twitter or become a fan on our Facebook page as we'll be giving away the tickets starting from Monday (7 Dec).
Spread the word around!
