From a play from Singapore to film screenings, there’s bound to be something waiting for you at klpac throughout November. Teater Ekamatra presents Bilik Ahmad Berdaki (4-7 Nov), a play that sees six actors performing in all three plays, the actors taking on a different character in each. The triple-bill tackles somewhat controversial issues in the Malay communities.

Then there’s Mukabuku (20 & 21 Nov), a collection of six short plays presented by the T4YP Ensemble. Exploring social networking sites role in our everyday lives, these short plays will feature the works of Mark Beau De Silva, Alex Chua and Nandang Abdul Rahman.

Finally, film buffs shouldn’t miss out free screenings of films from the UK. In British Playwrights on Film, the selection of films will look at how some of the best and most original British plays of the last 50 years have translated to the big screen.

What do you wish you had more of as a child?
Pocket money! I used to get only 20sen back in school.
Respect from my parents. I am my own person!
I wish my parents listened to me, instead of keeping to the idea that "children should be seen and not heard"
Attention! My siblings took it away from me. Grrr!
Freedom. My parents never let me go out with my friends.
Brand new clothes, not hand-me-downs that were ill-fitting!
Maturity to impress and annoy the adults with.
Time! Everything happened so quickly and I miss those carefree days.
Toys, gadgets and the latest computer games, because we kids were competitive about things like that.
I certainly wish I heard less of the phrase, "When I was your age..."
