Twelve years in the Malaysian arts scene should never go unnoticed, which is why gamelan assemble Rhythm in Bronze will be celebrating it with a three-day gamelan concert.
Billed as Hari Jadi, Rhythm in Bronze is set to throw a birthday bash at PJ Live Arts from 2 to 6 December 2009. With Edwin Sumun as Artistic Director and Susan Sarah John and Seow Lai Fong as Musical Directors, Hari Jadi will place the spotlight on songs and pieces that charts their music journey.
The limelight will also be on the Ribblets, a second group of new gamelan players under the direction of Ann Salina Peters. Promising three nights of thrills and exhilarating entertainment, Rhythm in Bronze says, “there will be special guests performances, new appearances and a few surprises along the way.”
Drop by and wish them a Happy Birthday when Hari Jadi opens at PJ Live Arts in December. Check out their Facebook Fan Page for updates, info and more.
