Heineken Green Room Preview

Friday, 03/07/09 - 17:33PM Filed in Nightlife by sarah | Views: 2514 | Comments: 0

This is your notice to get your exclusive invitations to one of the hottest parties in town (click here to get invites).. If you thought the previous one with Box Frenzy and VHS Or Beta was bouncing off the walls, you'll be duly impressed by the upcoming Green Room in August.

Why are we convinced of that? Well there's the fact that they got DJs-turned-bonafide band Filthy Dukes to headline. They've made a name for themselves with the bangin’ club night Kill ‘Em All at London's ultra-club Fabric and they were the dudes who managed to book acts like Justice, Cut Copy, Bloc Party and Crystal Castles for early gigs in the UK. Their debut, Nonsense In The Dark, was released earlier in the year to pretty amazing reviews. They've been called the new Chemical Brothers and compared to Daft Punk and Justice.

Green Room's also got Japan's superstar producer Verbal. Verbal is a member of the hip hop group Teriyaki Boyz—yes, you know the one, lest we start singing their signature song! He's scene royalty in Tokyo; not only an artist but a jewelry designer to the stars. Kanye West is said to be a fan of his jewelry brands, Antonio & Astro and Ambush. Also on the bill: the Blink & Goldfish Show, a one-off collaborative project from the two mainstay DJs. Bass Agent's Didjital is also involved, presiding over the Green Room State Of Mind projects which will feature indie boutiques like MNEP, Replacement and Sevendays. There are only three words: off the hook.
