Creative Musings
Fashioned after the now-defunct brand of notebook that novelist Bruce Chatwin used throughout his travels, the modern Moleskine is the instrument of choice for artists, writers, poets and designers to document their inspirations, thoughts and artwork.
Moleskine invited international artists from various backgrounds to present work inspired by their journeys to Japan. In Chatwin's footsteps, artists used Moleskine notebooks on their excursions to express and showcase their creative thought processes. From cut out paper dolls to photos of the Japanese cityscape, the notebooks appear at the My Moleskine Nô To (nô to is Japanese slang for notebook) exhibition. Featured in My Moleskine Nô To are April Lee (music), Graphicairlines (design), Hanson Ho (design), Ian (writing), Justo Cascante (fine arts), Lines Lab (product design), Prudence Mak (fashion), Satoshi Ogawa (illustrator) amongst others. Visit www.moleskineasia.com for more details.
The My Moleskine Nô To exhibition is from 5 June–12 July at Kinokuniya Bookstore, Suria KLCC.
