David Archuleta makes a date with KL fans
Idol fans, tweenagers - this should brighten up your day. American Idol 7 runner-up David Archuleta will perform a showcase at Sunway Lagoon Ampitheatre on 11 April. Read on for how you can score tix, and also how you can win a spot in his KL entourage.
Here's how:
1. Buy David's album (David Archuleta) from Rock Corner outlets, Artist Gallery or Victoria Music Centre from 2 April onwards and win ONE showcase ticket. DiGi customers are entitled to a 20% discount. You'll also get a limited edition 16-page David Archuleta lyrics booklet - while stocks last of course.
2. Tune into Hitz.FM, My FM, Era FM and 8TV and enter their David Archuleta contest.
3. The first 750 DiGi customers who download any of the three promotional bundles (RM10 each, available at digi.com.my/music or WAP (wapmusic.digi.com.my) will get TWO showcase passes.
And that's not all. If you've purchased any of the promotional bundles, you can enter a SMS trivia contest on Archuleta. The one with the most correct answers gets to be part of his entourage in KL and spend alllllll their time with the squeaky clean Idol. The next 20 runners-up will get to be part of an autograph/meet & greet session instead. SMS contest ends 3 April.
For the stalkers, you can "follow" David on PacMee as he tours KL. PacMee will have a special channel for David created where fans can join and get constant updates as to what he's doing. You'll get to see photos, videos and more of David. All you gotta do to is sms ON DAVID to 36400 (for DiGi users).

I'll just bought 2 of David's self-album CD with 2 free season passes at Rock Corner shop, Subang Parade, Malaysia but behind these passes, the sentence of "THIS IS NOT A GUARANTEED ATTENDANCE PASS" got me worried. My 16-yr-old daughter would like to go to Sunway Amphitheatre on this coming April 11 at 2pm with her friend. Both of them are die-hard fan of David. Pls re-affirm me, a worried Mom.

The condition is subject to space availbility. Only applicable if the venue is full-house, i guess. This is what the organizer usually do. But, nothing much to worry as long as we get there earlier :)

DA's self-titled CD album cost RM40.90 each & I've bought 2 sets so tat myShawnie wud be able to go to DA's concert in Amphitheatre Sunway with another die-hard fren of hers. I just hope they would be okay there.. Anyway, I'd bring them there early on 11-Apr. How early is early, Angel? Is 12 noon OK? They dun mind to "lepak" there fer 3 whole hrs b4 DA's show. Hope the theatre opens up at 12 noon fer them to go in... Just viewed the video on DA's arrival at KLIA airport with all his screaming fans & also David's vlog. Wow, he's so nice..

tHKS, time-out fer the fantastic directions of "how-to-get-to-sunway-amphitheatre". it's a nice place, am sure glad tat i din put them there at sunwaylagoonthemepark entrance itself on apr 11 as was my plan previously. my tween-angel n her frenz really, really enjoyed themselves so much there tat wen i went to fetch them back at 6pm time, it's oni david archuleta here, david archuleta there frenzily all the way back to shah alam via Hitz also playing DA songs on the car radio. :-)n mygal has a big smile on her face wen she was soundly sleeping on tat nite itself!

n also not fergetting ribuan terima kasih to Angel fer her generous advice fer me to bring the gals there early. i drove around jln kewajipan, reached the elephant walk entrance at 12.05pm n the security guard was nice and polite. they went inside to queue up (a really, really long queue at tat time edi as wat i was infmd later!). seems like there r some who came as early as 8am. wow. later my at approx. 12.30pm the entrance to sunway amphitheatre opened sesame.. i rcd an sms from mygal at 2.18pm tat they were inside the theatre with nice seatings around the centre of the theatre. the front part were fer vips, vipps, etc. etc. later yesterday i read a blog tat some otr ppl din get to go inside at all! oh, its so saddening to hear tat... i wud sure hope tat DA to have a concert here real v v soon.
