It's been some time since we last saw a Yasmin Ahmad movie. Since we won't be able to watch her fifth movie, Muallaf, anytime soon (Muallaf just finished showing in Singapore and will now face the Malaysian censorship board),  we're happy to say you'll get to watch her latest flick - Talentime - in March!

We found the good news on her blog The Storyteller. The tentative date for Talentime to hit our cinemas is 26 March 2009.

What do you wish you had more of as a child?
  Pocket money! I used to get only 20sen back in school.
  Respect from my parents. I am my own person!
  I wish my parents listened to me, instead of keeping to the idea that "children should be seen and not heard"
  Attention! My siblings took it away from me. Grrr!
  Freedom. My parents never let me go out with my friends.
  Brand new clothes, not hand-me-downs that were ill-fitting!
  Maturity to impress and annoy the adults with.
  Time! Everything happened so quickly and I miss those carefree days.
  Toys, gadgets and the latest computer games, because we kids were competitive about things like that.
  I certainly wish I heard less of the phrase, "When I was your age..."
