Hey, What's The Big Idea?

Posted on 01 August 2008

How does RM80,000 sound to you? Pretty good, considering it’s what you could be paid for your big TV idea.

Media Prima is kicking off the “What’s Your Big TV Idea?” competition this month under its TV production arm, Primeworks Studios (PWS). Based on originality, innovation and entertainment value; twenty finalists will be shortlisted to pitch to their ideas to PWS’s board of ‘Seriously Big Bosses’ (management and executives from all Media Prima network stations) and each will automatically receive RM3,000.

Fixed For A Ride

Posted on 01 August 2008

It all began in New York, where the traffic was so bad that it was easier to ride a bicycle to get from one block to the other. New York bike messengers found that the fixed-gear track bicycles were perfect for the surface conditions in the city. Unlike the modern bikes a fixed-gear (fixie) bike is very minimal; no gears or brakes making it incredibly lightweight. What was a necessity in past has now become a hobby for hipsters all over the world including UK, Japan, Thailand and now, Malaysia.
